Clarion is known as the home of the International Teddy Bear Reunion in the Heartland, which is held every five years, the next being 2010.

The annual Festival in the Park on the second Saturday in June. It features a parade and is centered around music.

Clarion is also the birthplace of the 4-H emblem.
